Many organisations have moved to Office 365 hosted on Azure, which includes SharePoint Online as part of the subscription.  So building a solution to suit their needs may be a simple, cost-effective solution for their Enterprise Project Management (EPM) or Project Portfolio Management (PPM) requirements.
