Core Consulting Group (CCG) was engaged by one of Melbourne’s leading not-for-profit providers of residential aged care, in–home care, respite care, housing services and retirement living in Victoria. Our client cares for more than 4,000 older people each year through an integrated range of community, home-based aged care services as well as specialist residential care and accommodation across Melbourne, the Mornington Peninsula and regional Victoria.
CCG has also assisted our client with providing a basic EPM system via SharePoint, see Sharepoint EPM – Aged care provider. Our client had a basic Governance framework and set of templates, but senior management felt that improvement was needed.
CCG met with various project stakeholders and gained an insight into the improvements needed, mostly around “fit for purpose” and “keep it simple”. Encouraging the client to improve rather than replace, CCG worked collaboratively to progressively update and improve all aspects of their framework as well as provide guidance and coaching in regard to governance (decision making) and prioritisation.
Being a not for profit, CCG was happy to go above and beyond the scope of our brief, even developing a simple Excel based tool to assist them determining project type and relative priority through some simple questions and answers.
Our client was very happy with our delivery, particularly our ability to deliver without using all the manhour budget leaving them with time available for future improvements.
