Core Consulting Group (CCG) was engaged by one of the world’s largest providers of commercial explosives and blasting systems to the mining, quarrying, oil and gas and construction markets, sodium cyanide for gold extraction, and ground support services in mining and tunnelling. Our client was a large company with a global presence and geographically dispersed Project teams.
Our client needed to centralise and standardise their Project Management practices in order to improve their time to market on new product development. As part of this initiative, our client chose EPM Live as their Enterprise Project Management tool, engaging CCG to lead the implementation.
We employed a “QuickStart Build-to-Order Approach” for this implementation. This provided our client their required outcomes over a rapid 4 week period. With a focus on quality and user engagement, the approach provides a rapid modular approach to functional configuration. As part of the implementation, we also provided value adds such as a Scheduling Standard and Project Plan templates aligned to their methodology to uplift the capability of the decision makers and Project Managers in the Program of work.
The outcome of the engagement was our client achieving a single repository of Project information, displayed through views and dynamic reports for all stakeholders.
