Project Mobilisation & Support-Defence

Tenix Marine – Project Management Consultant

Tenix is Australia’s largest locally-owned defence and technology contractor, employing some 4000 people and earning almost A$ 1 billion annually. Tenix operates in all mainland Australian states and territories, New Zealand, the South Pacific and South East Asia. Tenix Defence Marine Division is a major ship designer and builder in the Asia Pacific region. Their focus is on the delivery of cost-effective solutions to complex Defence and commercial opportunities for both new build and support activities.

Tenix Marine was the successful bidder for the delivery of two Landing Helicopter Dock (LHD) ships for the Royal Australian Navy (RAN). Due to the requirements to stand the project up quickly, a number of key project mobilisation tasks were required to be implemented in parallel with the delivery of project deliverables.

Core Consulting Group was engaged to assist in the mobilisation of a number of key activities in the project. The mobilisation requirements managed by Core Consulting Group ensured that the processes and tools were either developed or verified and implemented to provide the LHD Project with the necessary systems to monitor and control the project.

With the assistance of Core Consulting Group, the LHD Project was able to implement an effective monitoring and control system suitable for generating reports for management both internal and external to the project.
