Toll Holdings Limited – Project Management Methodology
Toll is the Asian region’s leading provider of integrated logistics, generating annual revenue of AU$8.2 billion and operating an extensive network of over 1,200 sites in 55 countries. Toll’s access to transport and infrastructure assets includes road fleets, warehousing, ships, air freight capacity, ports and rail rolling stock.
Having worked with Core Consulting Group (CCG) in the past, Toll’s Global Information Services Division (GIS) engaged CCG to assist in the development of a Project Management Methodology suitable for the entire Toll Group. The aim of the methodology was to ensure consistency in governance, engagement and delivery approach for all Toll projects involving IT delivery components.
Core Consulting Group reviewed the existing methodologies of all major Toll business units. Using existing Toll IP, existing CCG IP and industry best practice, CCG provide Toll with a Project Management framework and standard that was accepted by all business units. CCG also prepared a blueprint for portfolio management to support Toll’s future project growth requirements.
Through this project, Toll has been able to deliver a consistent and common approach based on industry best practice to project management, improving their project delivery effectiveness and efficiency.
