A unique approach
We believe systems and toolsets are implemented most effectively when there is a shared understanding across the organisation of the operating model into which they fit. The operating model must be agreed before requirements can be gathered. Core Consulting Group approach an implementation (regardless to the tool) beginning with a unique and structured “Concept of Operations” workshop. This workshop provides invaluable insight into the organisational readiness, the functional needs and the implications on the organisation by adopting specific functions. The result is a shared vision for the future and a clear roadmap for implementation.
Core Consulting Group is an Authorised Australia/Pacific Partner of Changepoint, specialising in the Daptiv by Changepoint solution. Daptiv is an industry leading ‘Software-as-a-Service’ (SaaS) PPM solution which delivers a powerful, integrated suite of PPM applications, providing a ‘single source of truth’ and includes a fully integrated business intelligence engine that enables reports and in-depth dashboards across all the work stored in Daptiv.
As a Changepoint partner, CCG can assist with the sales process but more importantly assist customers with Daptiv implementation. CCG can help customers clarify their requirements, configure Daptiv, provide user training as well as assist with the change process, delivering the Project Management maturity uplift needed.
Microsoft Project Server and Project Online
For close to ten years we have been exploring, adapting and innovating using Microsoft Project Server (otherwise known as Microsoft Enterprise Project Management or EPM and their cut down on line version Project Online). As a Microsoft Partner, CCG has innovated to extend the capability of EPM while remaining in the “configuration” rather than “customisation” space.
Sometimes working in collaboration with implementation vendors, CCG has guided the configuration of the tool, ensuring it meets the business needs rather than those of the vendor. With a focus on user adoption, CCG has provided training, data cleansing, capability uplift, UAT, hands on configuration and administration services for project Server. Browse our white papers for access to a number of public discussion papers we have written. We have also a number of unpublished papers relating to key Project Server and Project Online functions, explaining the impact of key functions on the organisation as well as the process/methodology and training impact of such a change.
Microsoft Project Professional
We are experts in Microsoft Project Professional, and have been since the first PC versions of the mid 1990s. Through the leadership of Martin Vaughan, numerous tool innovations, planning/updating techniques, graphical views and education/training have been delivered to many large Australian organisations. Innovative “check filters”, cross code reporting, dependency management, simple earned value and many other advanced uses of the tool have been developed over the years. Scheduling standards and templates many organisations use today have evolved from work Martin has done. Martin has taken a pragmatic approach, demonstrating the tool is extremely capable in the right hands (despite the messy defaults rolled out by Microsoft relating to resourcing, updating and manual scheduling).
EPMLive by Upland
CCG are the premier EPMLive Implementation Partner in Australia and have been supporting EPMLive customers for over five years having rolled out the tool for many customers. EPMLive is available on premise, in dedicated environments and “Software as a Service” (SAAS).
We have successfully implemented EPMLive into a diverse range of organisations from big to small, private to government. Our outcomes driven approach ensures benefits are realised early by using a controlled implementation approach focused on areas of greatest value. Leveraging off Sharepoint capability, we can provide innovative solution to most needs customers have.
“Core Consulting Group assisted AMSA to deliver our working P3M system in a short timeframe. CCG staff working on the implementation were highly professional, had in-depth knowledge of the application, and provided guidance and direction that minimised the implementation risks.”
Steven Riles, Australian Maritime Safety Authority: (AMSA) 2015
As a comprehensive SharePoint based solution, the tool seems familiar, meaning user adoption is less challenging than other EPM tools.
Since Bijingo Project Management Software was first launched, CCG has been a key implementation partner. Providing product development advice and support, we have assisted with training material and beta testing. Bijingo has proven itself in the market, and to CCG internally (as it underpins our own practice management through their fantastic Timesheeting solution).
