Melbourne Airport – EPMLive WorkEngine Implementation
Melbourne Airport operates the Melbourne International Airport and Launceston Airport under a long term lease from the Australian Government. The organisation has a significant ongoing and growing capital program of work to address the changing needs of travellers, carriers, retailers, authorities and others.
In addressing the increase in planned capital expenditure, Melbourne Airport has undertaken a program to “Grow Project Management Capability”. The program acknowledges the need to address process, toolsets and people. It also identified the need to address capability across project management, sponsor and executive management communities.
Core Consulting Group (CCG) was selected to support Melbourne Airport in this program through the Development of Project Management Practice, the Implementation of EPMLive WorkEngine (toolset) and the delivery of training.
CCG led Melbourne Airport through a refinement of their existing delivery methodology and delivered the result through a user friendly online user interface. The result of this is that all projects at Melbourne Airport have adopted a common approach and a common language to delivering projects. This was underpinned by the design, configuration and implementation of an EPMLive WorkEngine to enable project data to be stored and analysed under a common framework. These two engagements were supported by both Instructor Lead and Electronic Online Training modules to support the organisational change.
Melbourne Airport have benefited from an efficient and effective engagement that has provided significant value for a modest spend.
